Differential Relay RD2 – 230/400 V

The RD2 differential relay is an electronic protection device for the detection of earth leakage currents . Used in combination with an external toroidal transformer , it allows rapid and precise action for the safety of electrical systems , both civil and industrial.

Operation:

The RD2 relay monitors the differential current through the connected toroid:

  • When the dispersion exceeds the set value (IΔn),

  • after the selected time (tΔ),

  • The relay closes or opens the output contact , allowing the intervention of an external switching device (e.g. contactor or switch).
